Sadwyn Brophy is a New Zealand actor who portrayed Eldarion, the son of Aragorn and Arwen, in a brief vision sequence during the epilogue of Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. Born in 1996, Brophy was a child at the time of filming, and his appearance in the trilogy carries an added layer of significance as the son of actor Jed Brophy, who played the dwarf Nori in The Hobbit trilogy and appeared in creature and stunt roles across the Lord of the Rings films.
Growing up around the New Zealand film industry that Peter Jackson’s productions helped build, Brophy has continued to work in film in the years since his childhood role, including an acting credit in the television movie Catching the Black Widow and more recent work both in front of and behind the camera, including art department and set dressing work on independent short films.
