Lewis MacLeod is a Scottish actor, impressionist, and voice artist best known for voicing Sebulba, the arrogant and dangerous alien podracer who competes against young Anakin Skywalker, in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. MacLeod’s vocal performance brought a distinctive, sneering menace to one of the prequel trilogy’s most memorable supporting characters, whose podracing rivalry with Anakin formed one of the film’s most thrilling and technically ambitious sequences.
He has continued to voice Sebulba across numerous Star Wars video games, including Star Wars Episode I: Racer, Star Wars: Super Bombad Racing, and the more recent LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, extending the character’s life well beyond his original film appearance. MacLeod has also lent his vocal talents to other Star Wars video game projects, including voicing Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds.
Beyond Star Wars, he has built a substantial career in British comedy and impressions work. His enduring connection to Sebulba, sustained across more than two decades of video games following the character’s original film debut, has made him a distinctive and popular figure among Star Wars collectors interested in the prequel trilogy’s memorable alien cast.
